My name is Tonia and I have lived in Shreveport La now for 7 years. I am apart of a ministry called Victory Revival Centre. I have two kids, an 18 yr. old son and 14 yr.old daughter. I have provided childcare from my home for 8 yrs now and was in childcare for 3 yrs previous. I am fun-loving and creative. Some of my favorite things to do is take pics, scrapbook or do something creative and hang out with friends and family! I love dasies and want to own both a VW bugs and van (painted hippie style of course). I have a bottle collection and love bright colors and polka dots. I also enjoy reading ...especially books or articles about revivalists..the Booths being one of my faves.

How and When I was Born Again:

I was born again at age 23. After reading a track about the rapture, I became curious as to why I had grown up in church yet never heard this teaching before. I began to read the Word and ask different people I knew that went to different churches about what they beleived. I realized that there was much more to God than I had been taught. I struggled much because it went against everything that had been put into me. I continued to read the Word to see what I could find and during this time I met a couple who blessed us in many ways and I began to see that there was something different about them. I began to attend a Baptist church.This was quite a step for me becasue I had grown up in a church that taught only Church of Christ people were going to heaven and that all others were wrong. I began attending a witnessing group that passed out salvation tracks. One night, sitting in bed, I was getting ready to send one to my sister with a letter telling her how much more there was than we had been taught but before I put it in, I re-read it and when I did, I suddenly understood what it was saying in a way I had not before. The reason Jesus came and the price that He had paid and the reason He had to pay it became revelation to me. I was raised to beleive that water baptism made you right with God but that night, something changed. When I prayed the prayer in the back of that booklet, It truly changed me because as I said those words, I said them with the understanding of what Jesus did for me. There was a notible presence and change in me. I even woke my husband up to tell him, proclaiming..I get it..I finally get it. I jumped into every class I could and quickly found that there was even more to God and within a couple of years was baptized in the Holy Ghost.

About the Call of God on My Life:

Preaching the gospel, Healing the broken hearted, and setting the captive free...to be God's demonstration is what I long for. I have a passion for helping people discover the amazing love of God and the freedom that Jesus made available for them. I want people to know that they were created for a specific purpose and for them to find and fulfill that purpose. I am a part of the pastoral team and sing with of the music team. I am called to be prophetic voice that declares righteousness and, though I am not convinced it's a "calling", but more of a requirement and lifestyle in true Christian living, I have a burden for intercession and know that part of my place here is to labor in prayer with groanings and trevail to help birth the plan and will of God in the earth and for individuals.
