About Me:
Photobucket
I was born and raised in Idaho, then spent about 13 years living in Denver, Colorado before moving to my present home in Shreveport, LA. I went to college three times, pursuing courses for either Travel or Computer Graphics, but neither was able to pan out for a successful career for myself. I have spent the past twenty years doing mainly office administrative work.

The thing I love to do the most is travel. I am always up for a "Road Trip". I have been to over half the United States, Canada, Mexico, Philippines, Wales and England. I hope to add more countries to my itinerary in the near future. When at home, I enjoy reading Christian novels, watching movies and getting a little exercise in. And I go to rodeos whenever I have the chance.
How and When I was Born Again:

I grew up in church so it has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. But it wasn't till the summer of 1980 when I was 15 years old that I became born again. I was on a youth trip to Washington state and it was there, during one of the evening meetings that I came to realize that I needed Jesus. Without Him, I was bound for an eternity in Hell. So I gave my life to Him.

Seven years later I was attending Marilyn Hickey's church in Denver, when at the end of one evening service, one of the pastors got up and asked if there was anybody there who didn't speak in tongues. Honestly, I was only half listening to what was going on. My mind had wandered off so when he asked this, I raised my hand without really thinking about it. I just thought he was asking a question. I didn't realize we were in the middle of an altar call. Several other people raised their hands as well, and the pastor told us to come up front so we could be "sprit-filled" and receive the gift of a prayer language. I went up not really knowing what I was doing. I said a simple prayer and in faith, received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and immediately started hearing a new tongue inside my head. The words were few at the beginning, but as the years have gone by, my language has grown, matured and changed. This shows you how simple it is to receive the Baptism and start speaking in tongues. And I can't imagine living this life without it. It has been a life saver on many occasion.
About the Call of God on My Life:
What I believe to be the Call of God on my life has changed over the years, and has been redefined many times. But I firmly believe now that I am a Prophetic Teacher called to the nations as a missionary. To take the basic principles of the gospel and teach people how to apply it to their lives so they can live a victorious life in Christ Jesus.
I am actually toying with the idea of going back to college for the FOURTH time (God help me) to get a Bachelors in Social Science. That way when I am overseas I can offer even more help to the people with ideas for humanitarian management and assistance in development programs for their area. Maybe help start clinics for women and children in the area. I may need to take some refresher courses in French as well.
