About Me:

I've been married to my husband, Rick, for 21 years and we have had one son together, Aaron, who is 22 years old and has autism. Rick married me when I was raising 3 little boys from my first marriage. He's a wonderful, gentle and God-fearing man.

How and When I was Born Again:

I received Jesus into my heart when I was 4 years old watching the Day of Discovery, but I really turned my life over to God when I was about 22. At that time my husband left me and our sons and God took over as my husband and Father to my children. For 5+ years we always had our needs met, never went without a ride to church, and always had friends and things to do. I was able to raise my 3 sons on $525/mo and $120/mo food stamps. My rent was $450/mo. I tithed. I always had a godly roommate to help with rent. I never had a car, but always had a ride. People gave us food and clothes. There was always plenty of presents under the tree at Christmas. God was faithful and brought me a wonderful man who bought us our first car. We dated for 3 years and then got married. God is good!

About the Call of God on My Life:

For 21 years I have been taking care of my autistic son. It has been extremely challenging! I lost my third son in a car accident when he was 18 years old (7 years ago). Many other things have happened which involved my sons when they were little. I was going to college to be a nurse when Aaron was younger, but quit to take care of him because his autism was so severe. Our life has been consumed taking care of Aaron. My children have been my call.
